Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO
was named the #1 Most Powerful
Woman in Business by Forbes Magazine
As a woman who has spent 30+ years in the mostly male-dominated financial services industry, I know a thing or two about the inequities and challenges we're faced with in the business world. Having risen to the top producer ranks with companies like Ameriprise Finanacial, among others, I also know that not even gender bias can stop thoughtful dedication and desire.

So join with me in celebrating these 20 women ... bravo!

Forbes Magazine - The World's 20 Most Powerful Women In Business

In an age when business compensation for women averages 80% on the dollar of what their men counterparts make, these powerful ladies shattered the glass ceiling and continue to show their power.

Topping the Forbes list was Sheryl Sandberg, Facebook COO at #1. PepsiCo CEO and chair Indra Nooyi came in at #2, with Forbes citing that among, other things, she returned $5.6 billion in returns to shareholders last year while growing Net Revenue by 14%. Rounding out the Top 5 were Irene Rosenfeld #3, the CEO of Kraft followed by Ginni Rometty #4, CEO of IBM and Ursula Burns #5, chair and CEO of Xerox.
